Kids are ditching classic biscuits and are dunking samosas in tea instead
Sales of Brit's much-loved biscuits could be hit as a result of kids ditching the classics to enjoy a more savoury treat with their cup of tea by eating a samosa
Experts say the change among millennials – born in the 1980s and early 90s – and Generation Zers is being driven by cookery lessons on websites like TikTok.
A trend for turning snacks into full meals, and people aged 16 to 24 getting a taste for exotic food on holidays to places like India, are also to blame.

Jonny Forsyth, from market researchers Mintel, said: “Gen Z have little time for the old rules of three formal meals per day. Snacks won’t ruin the meal – they are the meal.”
Granola bars and samosas are the top tea snacks of choice for younger generations, researchers found. Dr Sharon Hall, from the United Kingdom Tea & Infusions Association, which carried out the survey, said both are “probably quite filling, so maybe people are having that as a snack with their tea to fill them up”.
